I had to switch hosts so this site was dead for a while. Everything should be good now. I am really starting to hate the layout of my news page. It's quite ugly. I need to redesign this page so it's layed out much better, I don't like the titles, the centered text or how it just runs on and on. I am going to look around and see how other people have tackled this and see if I can be inspired to a better design.

We are back on track now. The website has been completely restored and updated. I am going to slowly be putting shot breakdowns and stuff into the ADIH page.
If anyone has a certain shot they want to see a breakdown for let me know.

Uhh, missed a few updates. Anyway ADIH was finished and showed to a great response at the Santa fe Film Festival. I keep bugging the directors to post it online so everyone can see it. I even told them that I could host it for free. My host also had a hiccup this month and my site was down for a little while, which is what prompted me to do this update! The ADIH site is all wonky because I don't have the latest version on me for some reason, so I am going to update that tomorrow.

What to do now... I want to make another short. I've got some ideas but I will see how much free time I can get to work on them.

I am rendering a fix for the MITHS scene, and finishing work on the launch, and establishing shot of heaven.

Trying to finish all my work in time. Had a meeting with the directors to straighten things out, and I think I am going to have to scale back a few of the remaining shots to finish in time. I have a lot of work to do on the establishing shot of heaven and the house pullback. I am having a very hard time getting the roses to look right in the house pullback. I don't have a lot of time to update this site but this will all be over very soon because my ultimate final deadline is fast approaching. I'll post more updates when I am done and have time to so shot breakdowns.

Working on the house pullback and finishing off as many shots as as I can. I have some questions for the directors of this shortfilm on a few shots that I can't finish until I get some input. I made a WIP page for the pullback along with a movie of the first pass of the effect (mostly just a color test for now).

I am kicking into high gear to finish on time. The car launch sequence is going much faster than the heaven sequence and I think I can get done in time. Spent a few hours painting out a wire from the Mary bobble head break sequence, not perfect but it worked out. You will see what I mean when I post a shot breakdown later. Updates may be spaced out much further as I dedicate most of my time to working.

My shot count went up. After examining the footage for the car launch I realized there were more shots than I had anticipated. Fortunately I just need to shake up the footage of the actors a little. Started working on the first shot of the car launch and it's going OK, the clean plate that was shot won't do me much good because the camera was moved after they rolled the car out of the way. It's too bad, at least I can use the footage to replace the top of the launcher.

Finally finished all of my Heaven shots today. That green screen was bad. It's all behind me now though and I can start finishing shots for the car launch. My shot count dropped way down after the heaven sequence so I am feeling a little better about the whole deadline. Looks like Everything needs to be submitted by November 15th so that should give me an extra week. However I am still trying to complete all of the effects before a final cut of the film is done! It's madness but thats life right?

20 shots completed in one day! Mostly just adding glows to heaven shots but it's nice to get them out of the way. Had to stabilize and crop one of them but the rest were straight forward. I am also having space issues, I might have to get another hard drive. I can't do much more unless I stop backing up, not a good thing. Hopefully my external hard rive that I am carrying the bulk of my work won't fail in the next week until I can get a new hard drive.

Finished ALL of the gate scenes in heaven, these took forever. This puts me way behind of the mountain of work I need to do before I finish these effects. Next I am going to hammer out a lot of the quicker shots so they are out of the way, it will make the remaining shot count much smaller really fast so that it looks like there is less work for me to do.

Finished working on two of the gate scenes in heaven, this took a lot longer than it should have. Hopefully I can pick up the pace on the rest of the heaven shots. I have also created a car-flyby page, still needs work.

ADIH update, finished the Car blast yesterday and re-compressed a lot of the movies on this site. The videos should download very quick now. I re-compressed the Coyote and the Flea movie, it has better color and sharpness.

ADIH update, work on the Car Blast sequence. Finished the initial blast and started work on the shots with actors.
